Ohiopyle Bike Ride this Saturday (8/1)

Ohiopyle Bike Ride - Saturday September 1, 2012

Plan to meet at the Ohiopyle Train Station/Office at 10:30 AM… We will NOT meet at the church… Please make your own arrangements for transportation…

We will leave at 10:45 AM and travel to Confluence – 11 miles (round trip of 22 miles). This will take about an hour… We will plan to eat at “Sister’s Café” in Confluence, PA (please bring lunch money)

Please bring a bike if you have one, if not there are places where you can rent bikes for the day or a few hours…

There is a place to change/shower when we get back to Ohiopyle.

If it is raining VERY HEAVILY that morning, we probably will cancel. If it is raining lightly we WILL ride… Hopefully, we will have a nice sunny day! Please pray for that!

Depending on the interest, we may eat dinner at “Cracker Barrel” in New Stanton on the way back home…

Message from L3 about Mo Wimbish's passing

Dear L3 members,

 

We are sorry to have to pass on the news that Mo Wimbish  passed away at 12:28 pm today.  Heather was with him as well as being supported byJackie Wick and Lori Thee and Kay Warheit and Emily Garrity.  We as a Staff, are mourning the loss of our dear friend and fellow worker but we also know that if anyone is enjoying these moments in the Presence of the Lord, ushered there by the angels, it is Mo Wimbish!   Pray for Heather as she now learns to live with out her dear friend and husband. We will pass on the arrangements when they are available. Please forward this to other friends of  Mo.  Toni

Friday August 17th- Sports and Games Night!
Come on out to the Union Place Gym and second floor meeting rooms, for a fun evening of volley ball, board games, and engaging conversation. It all starts at 7:30 and goes until 10:45. More often than not, a group of us will continue the fellowship at the Greentree Eat 'n Park or some other late-night eatery.

Attention! Car Cruise Canceled due to bad weather. Anyone up for "Batman"?

The car cruise for tonight was canceled, but there is an alternative if you are interested. Paul Robinson and others will be meeting at the Waterworks movie theater for the 8:30 pm showing of "The Dark Knight Rises." If you wish to meet up with the group, contact Paul at (412)780-3127.

Lunch Buddies is an informal gathering for all singles. Join us anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Everyone buys their own lunches. There is a breakfast buffet for $10.
